Trailer side connectors are electrical plugs attached to the
front end of a trailer electrical harness. These connectors will
consolidate all of the electrical towing functions of a trailer
into a single plug for attaching to the vehicle side connector.
Common connector types range from a 7 wire system
providing left turn, right turn, taillight, backup/reverse,
auxiliary, electric brake and ground to a 4 wire system
providing left turn/brake, right turn/brake, taillight and ground.
